Unique DIY Wreaths for Your Home this Holiday Season

A DIY Christmas Wreath Made from WinecorksJust in case you are going in search of a unique and ingenious technique to brighten up your Dearborn home, a do-it-yourself wreath project is a terrific way to go! Wreaths are a classic and trouble-free plan to trim a door, wall, window, or other areas of your home. However, store-bought wreaths can be financially wasteful and typically look ordinary or don’t match your taste and style. Alternatively, why not create one of these fun and creative DIY wreaths to deck the halls this season?

Bicycle wheel. Upcycle an old bicycle wheel into a wreath full of vintage fun. Just twine real or fake evergreen boughs around the rim, then wrap it in a festive red rope or ribbon. Just a few bright bows, and you’ve got the appropriate touch for your entryway or door.

Peanut wreath. For a touch of the unconventional, why not set up a wreath out of unshelled peanuts? Choosing a foam wreath form, merely glue peanuts in their shells to cover. Thereupon, coil a pretty burlap ribbon around the whole thing and tie in a bow.

Cookie cutters. If baking cookies is a major part of your holidays, why not create a wreath that fully expresses your favorite part of the season? Start by gluing decorative paper to the back of several cookie cutters. Afterward, glue the cookie cutters into a circular shape. Lastly, tie with a delightfully nice ribbon and hang for a visual treat anywhere your home needs a little cheer.

Wine corks. If you enjoy collecting wine bottle corks, you can make use of them to make a fun wreath! Taking advantage of a straw or twig wreath form, just glue your corks in concentric circles to cover. Following that, employ floral wire to attach some sprigs of evergreen and colored holly berries to finalize the look.

Sheet music. If your glad tidings include lots of holiday music, why not set up a wreath that displays your affinity for all things musical? Using torn sheets of music, easily twist or curl them and then glue them together in a circular shape. Add on some picturesque paper rosettes to the inner ring to craft the appropriate musical decoration for your home.

PVC pipe. Not just for plumbing, PVC pipe could be utilized to make a unique wreath for your home! You can simply cut different sizes of PVC pipe into thin sections, then glue them together (with open sides facing outward) into a circular arrangement. After spray painting the pipe a real fine gold or another color, fill the openings of the pipes with colorful ornaments for a festive decoration.

Socks. Have you got too many old or single socks collecting in your laundry room? As an alternative to throwing them out, turn them into a unique wreath creation! Make two embroidery hoops (one smaller than the other), trace a wreath form onto a foam core. Next cut out the form, cut and wrap the sock around it, and glue them into place. After, fit the whole thing back inside the embroidery hoops and decorate.

Ties. If there’s someone you know who has an extra necktie, you can use them to dress up a creative holiday wreath! Make use of a foam wreath form, then simply wrap and pin the neckties in any arrangement you’d really like. Following that glue, the loose ends to the back to secure them in place. Use much different leftover fabric to craft a bow, and you’ve got a holiday wreath that is dressed to impress!
